Blake Monroe may finally get her first televised main roster match at WWE‘s next premium live event.
According to False Finish, WWE has discussed the possibility of booking Monroe against Giulia at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6. As of now, however, the match has not been made official.
Monroe and Giulia were set to face each other on the August 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. WWE had announced the match as Monroe’s first on the show, but the bell never rang. During Giulia’s entrance, Monroe jumped her from behind and closed the segment by hitting the Neutralizer.
The feud between the two actually started on June 26. That night, Giulia defeated Kiana James, and shortly after the match, Monroe blindsided her, marking Monroe’s first attack since arriving on SmackDown.
Although she has worked a non-televised match since her call-up, Monroe has yet to compete on main roster television. The former NXT Women’s North American Champion’s arrival had been teased since April.
Sunday Night’s Main Event takes place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, starting at 8 p.m. ET. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton, Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker, and Baron Corbin vs. Lil Yachty are already officially announced.
