Add as a preferred source on Google Liv Morgan has been Women’s World Champion for more than 100 days, but she has yet to defend the title on a WWE TV during this reign.
Morgan began her third reign with the title on April 18, on the first night of WrestleMania 42, when she defeated Stephanie Vaquer. Her first televised defense won’t come until this Saturday, August 1, when she puts the title on the line against IYO SKY on night one of SummerSlam at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
By the time that match happens, 105 days will have passed since she won the title. The gap stands out even more next to Morgan’s previous reign: in 2024, she defended the same championship against Becky Lynch in a steel cage match just two days after winning it.

Still, Morgan has defended the title twice, at untelevised live events during WWE’s European tour.
The first came on June 21 in Birmingham, in a Fatal Four-Way against IYO SKY, Lyra Valkyria and Sol Ruca. Three days later, in Sheffield, Morgan beat SKY and Ruca again, this time in a Triple Threat match for the title.
SKY arrives at SummerSlam with a notable edge. On June 27, at Night of Champions, she beat Morgan in the Queen of the Ring final and, moments after winning the tournament, chose the champion herself as her opponent.
